A prolific plant, Japanese Indigo grows wonderfully with some well-fed soil and regular watering throughout the dry season. Once the plant gets to around knee height, you can begin to harvest the stems for natural dying or pigment extraction, simply cut the stem leaving around 2-3 growth nodes on the plant to allow for regrowth.

Grows well in pots or the garden.
